2020 Fantasy Football: Baltimore Ravens Outlook

*all rankings are as of 8/12/2020 via. Sleeper*

QB: Lamar Jackson (3rd Season - 23 Years Old)

Lamar Jackson - There is no doubt in my mind that Lamar will reach a top 3 QB performance again this season. After his rookie season I forsure thought that defenses would be able to adjust and stop Lamar Jackson's running ability, and boy oh boy was I wrong. This season I don't think we can expect anything short of greatness once again from Lamar Jackson, defenses will try and contain Lamar Jackson but it is so hard to bank on if he is going to scramble out of the pocket or throw a sweet pass between defenders. Lamar Jackson's ability to run automatically gives him a big jump in fantasy just due to the fact he can get you those addition rushing yards and touchdowns. One thing you cannot forget about Lamar though is that he CAN and he WILL throw the football, last season he may have had the most rushing yards by a QB in HISTORY but he also led the league in 2019 with the most PASSING touchdowns. Also did I forget to mention he has a TD-INT ratio of 6-1, meaning for every 1 pick thrown by Lamar Jackson he throws 6 touchdowns. The only downside I can see to Lamar this season is how early he is going in drafts, in 12 team leagues he is going in the mid/end of the SECOND round! Sure you are locking in a QB that you know has that dual threat ability but you could also be passing up on a workhorse RB for your team or even a stud WR1. I personally am not drafting Lamar Jackson this season just due to the fact that he is going so early in drafts. If you are willing to spend that early of a pick on Lamar Jackson and be okay with it then by all means I say you go for it, BUT just know you could be losing out on a top 10 RB/WR this season. (Also watchout for that madden curse, I know Mahomes broke the curse but let's see if Lamar can too).

I believe that Lamar Jackson will finish as a TOP 3 QB this year, Jackson is currently ranked as the QB2 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 20th overall pick. via. Sleeper

RB: Mark Ingram II (10th Season - 30 Years Old)

Mark Ingram - BIG TRUSS WOO WOO! Mark Ingram has expressed his concerns about returning this season but he did not decide to opt-out, which means he still wants to play ball! Mark Ingram may be 30 years old now and even with Lamar Jackson at QB we saw that he can still kill it on the ground. J.K. Dobbins may have been drafted in the draft, and we know he can definitely tear it up on the ground but Ingram is still the guy there in the Ravens backfield. The Ravens ran the ball 596 times and Mark Ingram only saw 202 rushing attempts, which led the team but that is still only 34% of his teams carries. We know Lamar Jackson will still run at least 100 times this season and with J.K. Dobbins now stepping in as the RB2 on the team will more than likely see 100 carries so but still expect Ingram to hit that 200 carry mark. Draft Mark Ingram as the RB3 for your team, he is going in the middle/end of the 4th round which means you would have to draft 2 other RB's before him or if you have that much confidence in Ingram than go ahead and get him as your RB2. I would not be comfortable with him as my RB2 just because of Lamar Jackson taking carries away from him and the Ravens drafting J.K. Dobbins worries me as well, Ingram as my RB3 would be the most ideal situation considering the he is still the RB1 in Baltimore and they are for sure a run first team so you know Ingram is still going to get that work.

I believe that Mark Ingram will finish between the RB20-30 range this year, Ingram is currently ranked as the RB25 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 44th overall pick. via. Sleeper

RB: J.K. Dobbins (Rookie Season - Round 2, 55th Overall Pick - 21 Years Old)

J.K. Dobbins - For all of my dynasty and keeper league players I think it is safe to say that Dobbins is a MUST HAVE! Dobbins may be set as the backup to Mark Ingram right now but in the near future Dobbins will be the workhorse back in the Ravens offense. I mean just look at Dobbins college stats, he is a true workhorse back and once he gets to carry the football for the Ravens I expect him to take full advantage of those carries that he gets. In redraft leagues I highly recommend getting Dobbins for your bench RB around your RB4-5 is comfortable to me. In 12 man leagues Dobbins is currently going in and around the end of the 6th round/start of the 7th round, to make him your RB5 would be difficult considering that means you would have to draft 4 RB's before the 6th-7th round, so it is more than likely he will be your RB4 and in my opinion with him still being an RB2 for the Ravens I cannot be comfortable with him as my RB4. As my RB5 I would absolutely love to have Dobbins, because I know that he has the potential to be a flex play for my fantasy team and if Mark Ingram goes down he is an immediate plug into your starting lineup.

I believe that J.K. Dobbins will finish between the RB30-40 range this year, Dobbins is currently ranked as the RB32 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 73rd overall pick. via. Sleeper

WR: Marquise Brown (2nd Season – 23 Years Old)

Marquise Brown - Marquise HOLLYWOOD Brown is going to shock a lot of people this season I think he is going to be a very quality WR for your fantasy team this season. Marquise Brown was very small last season sitting at 157 pounds by the end of his rookie season, and he now sits at a whopping 180 pounds! Marquise Brown looks super shredded now and I definitely think that Lamar Jackson will target Marquise Brown a lot more this season due to his increase in size. Marquise Brown will more than likely still be an absolute speedster over the top and we know he is a serious threat down the sidelines, he can really go up and get that football despite him being just 5'9". I am for sure looking to get Marquise Brown in my drafts, with his speed and his increase in weight I think we are forsure looking at a Tyreek Hill 2.0, it is just a matter of if Lamar Jackson can get him the football. Marquise Brown is going in the beginning of the 6th round which I think is excellent value for Brown if you go 3 RB's and 2 WR's before Marquise Brown then Brown will be your WR3, which you should be very comfortable with having. Though the Ravens may not pass the ball all that much but when they do you should expect the football to either go to Brown or Mark Andrews.

I believe that Marquise Brown will finish between the WR20-30 this year, Brown is currently ranked as the WR28 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 64th overall pick. via. Sleeper

WR: Willie Snead (7th Season – 27 Years Old)

Willie Snead - Snead has lost weight going into this season, and for his size I do not think that was the right move to make for Snead. Losing weight will allow Snead to be a little bit faster but I do not expect Snead to do anything spectacular this season, I actually think that Miles Boykin will get more work than Snead this season. Snead is a name that draftees will be familiar with and if somebody does draft Snead it will be because they a. recognized his name or b. he has Lamar Jackson at QB. Do not waste a draft pick on Willie Snead this season he will not make a big impact for the Ravens nor your fantasy team. He is no more than a player that will sit on your bench all season.

I believe that Willie Snead will finish between the WR90-100 this year, Snead is currently ranked as the WR96 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 212th overall pick. via. Sleeper

WR: Miles Boykin (2nd Season – 23 Years Old)

Miles Boykin - Standing at 6'4 and 220 lbs., Miles Boykin is a defenses worst nightmare when it comes to the redzone. With defenses looking to stop Lamar Jackson and the Ravens rushing attack Boykin could become a serious problems for defenses. Boykin did not have a very productive rookie season due to the Ravens run-heavy scheme, so it is not at all boykin's fault he didn't make an impact in 2019. Look to get Boykin very late in your drafts because he could have tremendous upside for your team.

I believe that Miles Boykin will finish between the WR80-90 this year, Boykin is currently ranked as the WR87 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 201st overall pick. via. Sleeper

TE: Mark Andrews (3rd Season - 23 Years Old)

Mark Andrews - Despite having Type 1 diabetes, which is high risk for the virus, this shows that Andrews wants to play football! Mark Andrews was obviously Lamar Jackson's favorite target in 2019 and I do not see any reason why Lamar wouldn't keep everything up. Andrews is a lock in top 5 TE this season, now while he is still high risk of getting the virus when he is playing he will be a matchup nightmare for defenses. Last season Andrews is going fairly early in drafts he is being drafted in the end of the 4th round, which is WAY TOO early draft a tight end, now though it may be later than drafting Kelce or Kittle but the 4th round is still way too early for you to draft a tight end. If Andrews slips into the 5th round then I would consider drafting him but I would need 2 RB's and 2 WR's before drafting Andrews. Lamar Jackson is going to love Andrews once again this season and if he was not being drafted so early then I would tell you to draft him.

I believe that Mark Andrews will finish as a TOP 5 TE this year, Andrews is currently ranked as the TE3 going into 2020, with his ADP sitting around the 44th overall pick. via. Sleeper
